The date is set. Chelsea announced that their Legends side will face Tottenham Hotspur Legends at Stamford Bridge on Saturday 27 March 2027, with a 3pm kick-off on Easter weekend.
John Terry, Chelsea’s former captain and a five-time Premier League winner, is set to feature in the Blues shirt again, according to a report in the Evening Standard. The squad has not been formally announced, but Terry pulled on the Chelsea Legends shirt in October 2025, when he lined up at Stamford Bridge for the charity meeting with Liverpool Legends.
A London rivalry revived for charity
Chelsea against Tottenham is one of English football’s sharpest local rivalries, and the two clubs are channeling that history into a charity fixture. Proceeds will support the Chelsea Foundation and Spurs in the Community, with both clubs framing the match as an occasion for their community programs rather than a result-driven kick-around.
“We are delighted to announce the next Legends match at Stamford Bridge, and I would like to thank the club for its support,” said Laura Cordingley, Chief Executive of the Chelsea FC Foundation, in the club’s announcement.

Marc Leckie, Chief Executive of Spurs in the Community, welcomed the fixture from the Tottenham side.
“We’re delighted to be part of what promises to be a fantastic occasion at Stamford Bridge,” Leckie said.
Terry’s recent Legends form
For Terry, this will be a familiar run-out. He featured for Chelsea Legends on 11 October 2025 in the charity match against Liverpool Legends at Stamford Bridge, a game Chelsea lost 1-0 to a late Ryan Babel finish. William Gallas was also in the Chelsea Legends side that afternoon, with Petr Čech in goal.
Terry made 492 appearances for Chelsea and lifted five Premier League titles during his time at Stamford Bridge, where he was captain for over a decade. He is one of the most recognizable defenders in the club’s history and remains a central figure at supporters’ events and charity appearances.
