Lucas Hernandéz acused of human trafficking in France

Complaint reaches French prosecutors

French judicial authorities are reviewing a complaint that names Lucas Hernández and his wife in connection with alleged concealed labour and human trafficking, according to Paris Match and ActuFoot. The filing has reportedly been submitted to the Versailles public prosecutor’s office, which will decide whether the claims justify opening a formal investigation.

At present, no charges have been brought, and the allegations remain unproven.

Claims raised by Colombian family

According to Paris Match and ActuFoot, a Colombian family alleges it was required to work for the couple without a legally recognised employment framework. The family claims the arrangement began in September 2024 and continued until November 2025.

The same reports state that the family was not provided with written employment contracts during this period.

Long working hours alleged

Paris Match and ActuFoot report that the family alleges it worked exceptionally long hours while employed by the couple. The workload is estimated at between 72 and 84 hours per week per person, figures that would significantly exceed legal labour limits if substantiated.

Such conditions could potentially fall under offences related to concealed labour and human trafficking under French law.

Legal scrutiny intensifies around football star

Under French legislation, concealed labour refers to employment carried out without proper declaration or contractual safeguards, while human trafficking statutes may apply when work is extracted under exploitative conditions.

According to Paris Match and ActuFoot, prosecutors will now assess the complaint to determine whether the reported facts meet the threshold for further judicial action. Legal observers note that the submission of a complaint does not imply guilt and that any review process may take considerable time.
