Cunningham made the claim while discussing the price of visibility as one of the WNBA’s most-watched players.

“I have, I think, 20, I think, people kind of that the FBI are watching for me, me alone,” she said on Von’s podcast.

Asked for names, she declined, saying she was not allowed to. She added that she knew of at least one, who was already in jail.

The FBI has not publicly confirmed Cunningham’s account, and no independent source has corroborated the figure, Yahoo Sports noted in its report on the podcast appearance.

The one she knows by name

That person is Kevin Singh, a 49-year-old Indiana man arrested in June on felony counts of stalking and intimidation plus a misdemeanor harassment charge over messages sent to Cunningham on social media, NBC News reported.

Singh hand-delivered a package addressed to “Sophie” at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, the Fever’s home arena, in September 2025. Inside was a letter and a Guns N’ Roses T-shirt that had been sprayed with men’s cologne. His behaviour escalated in February 2026 after Fever security contacted him about his online messages.

In her affidavit, Cunningham said she had been staying home more, had been having nightmares, and felt fearful of Singh.

‘Nice. Good work, judge’

Singh asked a Marion County court last week to lower his $40,000 bail, with his attorney saying he had been assaulted inside the Marion County Jail. The judge denied the request on October 23 after court records showed no documentation of any assault, infirmary visit or hospital treatment, Yardbarker reported.

Cunningham was shown the ruling live on Von’s podcast and clapped.

“Nice. Good work, judge,” she said.

Singh is already on probation in Hendricks County after pleading guilty in July 2025 to two Level 6 felony counts of invasion of privacy. Five further felony counts, including a stalking charge and a habitual offender enhancement, were dismissed in that earlier case.

A jury trial in the Marion County case is scheduled for January 2027.
