Yamal cuts Instagram Live after locker-room moment following Supercopa final

Barcelona’s Supercopa de Espana celebrations briefly spilled into public view after the final whistle in Riyadh, when a live social media broadcast by teenage winger Lamine Yamal captured an awkward dressing-room moment.

According to SPORTbible, Yamal went live on Instagram shortly after Barcelona’s 3-2 win over Real Madrid, offering fans a glimpse of the team’s post-match celebrations. During the broadcast, the camera momentarily turned toward several players inside the dressing room before Yamal quickly flipped it away, saying: “Woah, this can’t be recorded!”

Clips of the moment circulated widely on social media, including a post shared by the account @angrygavi, which helped amplify the footage beyond Yamal’s original livestream.

Barcelona edge dramatic final in Riyadh

The incident followed a tense Supercopa final in which Barcelona claimed their first trophy of the season. Hansi Flick’s side twice took the lead in the first half through goals from Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha, only for Real Madrid to respond on both occasions.

Vinicius Junior levelled with an individual effort before young striker Gonzalo Garcia brought Real back on terms again. Raphinha’s second goal of the night, scored in the 73rd minute, ultimately proved decisive.

Barcelona were forced to defend deep in the closing stages after Frenkie de Jong was sent off in stoppage time, but they held on to secure the win.

Yamal played 93 minutes before being substituted late on as Barcelona looked to protect their advantage. While he was not directly involved in the goals, the 18-year-old remained part of the post-match celebrations that followed.

Szczęsny’s past comments on smoking

The brief locker-room clip appeared to show goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny smoking. The former Arsenal and Juventus player has previously spoken openly about the habit and has urged young players not to follow his example.

In an interview with ESPN in April, Szczęsny said there were aspects of his career that should not be copied, particularly smoking, which he described as a habit he had been unable to break despite recognising its negative effects. He added that he hoped younger players and fans would learn from his experience rather than repeat it.
