Bayern Munich is reportedly preparing a significant new long-term contract offer for Michael Olise, aiming to secure his future at the club well beyond the current decade.
This move comes amid intense transfer speculation, with several of Europe’s elite clubs reportedly circling the 24-year-old winger.
Olise, who joined Bayern from Crystal Palace in 2024, still has three years remaining on his existing deal. However, his explosive form has made him one of the most coveted attacking talents in world football, prompting Bayern to act decisively to fend off interest.
European giants circle for Olise
According to Graeme Bailey, writing for TEAMtalk, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has already made enquiries about Olise’s availability, only to be met with an emphatic rejection from the German champions.

The interest extends far beyond the French capital, with Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City all having made contact regarding Olise over the past six months.
Further demonstrating the widespread appeal, Real Madrid and Barcelona are also reportedly monitoring Olise’s situation, exploring a potential move as early as 2027.
Some outlets have even suggested a staggering £120 million (€140 million) offer could be in the pipeline for the dynamic forward.
Bayern’s unwavering “not for sale” stance
Bayern Munich’s position remains resolute: Olise is not for sale at any price. This firm stance is backed by the club’s advisor and former CEO, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, who articulated a long-standing club philosophy on player retention.

“He’s a wonderful player. I also appreciate how reserved and almost media-shy he is. That’s rare these days. He’s a great guy, and on the pitch, he’s outstanding. The way he plays football is almost magical, so it doesn’t surprise me that he’s incredibly popular and hyped among our fans,” Rummenigge stated.
He then recounted a pivotal moment in the club’s history: “Let me tell you a story from the past. In 2009, we had an incredible offer from Chelsea for Franck Ribéry. At the time, it would have been a new world transfer record. I then went to our then CFO, Karl Hopfner, and Uli Hoeness with this offer. We discussed it for two hours, trying to figure out what to do with it. That day, we made a fundamental decision that, in the future, we would never sell a player we would miss on the pitch, and this unwritten rule still applies today. For a player like Olise, there’s no price tag that would make us flinch.”
This “unwritten rule,” established after the significant offer for Franck Ribéry, underpins Bayern’s determination to keep Olise at the Allianz Arena.
Olise’s on-field contributions in the 2025/26 season highlight exactly why Bayern is so keen to retain him:

- 21 goals
- 30 assists
- 51 goal contributions from 48 games
- A goal contribution rate of once every 72.86 minutes
His exceptional performance has even led Steven Gerrard to name Olise as the “perfect replacement” for Mohamed Salah at Liverpool, who are actively seeking a long-term successor for the Egyptian star.
Despite Bayern’s public confidence, a prominent German journalist claims that leading stars within the Bayern dressing room are concerned Olise could ultimately be lured back to the Premier League.
