The supercomputer, which simulated the upcoming campaign 10,000 times using current Elo team ratings, sentiment analysis, betting market data, and historical performance, sees Manchester City finishing second with 85 points. This projection comes amidst a significant managerial change at the Etihad, with Enzo Maresca set to replace Pep Guardiola for the 2026-27 season.

Managerial shifts and the race for Europe

The top four is expected to see some familiar faces, albeit with new leadership. Liverpool, under the guidance of Andoni Iraola, are predicted to secure third place with 74 points. Sunderland, who impressively qualified for the Europa League with a seventh-place finish in 2025-26, are predicted to finish seventeenth with 35 points, just avoiding the drop.
