Lamine Yamal has the release clause, the six-year contract and the shirt sales. He does not have the biggest weekly pay check at Camp Nou.
That belongs to Frenkie de Jong, who tops Barcelona’s 2026/27 wage table at €365,000 a week, according to a salary breakdown published by The National on Tuesday. The Dutch midfielder sits €45,000 a week clear of the 19-year-old who has become the face of the club.
Yamal earns €320,000 a week, level with Raphinha and Marc-André ter Stegen, in a joint-second tier. Right-back Jules Koundé follows on €300,000 a week.
Lewandowski’s absence stands out
Below the top five sits a €240,000-a-week bracket containing Ronald Araújo, Dani Olmo, Pedri and Karim Adeyemi, per The National.

Then comes another step down: Anthony Gordon at €230,000, Ferran Torres at €190,000, Gavi at €180,000 and Fermín López at €175,000.
The list carries an obvious absence. Robert Lewandowski, the highest-paid player at Camp Nou for most of his four-year spell, is not on it.
The Polish striker’s contract expired on 30 June and he opted against a heavily reduced renewal offer, ending his time in Catalonia as a free agent.
LaLiga cap raised to €432 million
The wage list arrives after LaLiga confirmed Barcelona’s spending limit for the season at €432 million, up from €351 million in the previous window.

It is the second-largest cap in Spain, but still a long way behind Real Madrid’s €761 million and only just clear of Atlético Madrid’s €336 million.
The gap to Real Madrid is one reason Barcelona still spend cautiously in the market despite winning back-to-back league titles under Hansi Flick.
Their 29th La Liga trophy, sealed with a 2-0 win over Real Madrid on 10 May 2026 with three matches to spare, was delivered by a wage bill LaLiga still classes as being in excess of the limit.
Yamal’s placement in joint-second fits that picture.

He signed a six-year extension through to 2031 in May 2025, a deal that scales upwards each season rather than paying his peak wage from day one. By 2029 or 2030, the answer to the question above the salary list may look very different.
Flick starts the defence at Elche on 23 August
Flick, who agreed a one-year extension through to 2028 in May, begins the title defence against Elche on 23 August. His attack will run through Yamal, Raphinha and Ferran Torres, with the striker vacancy left by Lewandowski still to be resolved in the summer window.
De Jong, quietly, will keep drawing the highest wage in the building.
