Arsenal’s summer transfer window, described by some as “underwhelming so far,” has hit a significant snag with their top attacking target, Vinicius Junior, reportedly set to extend his stay at Real Madrid. Amidst these setbacks, Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola has emerged as a compelling, albeit expensive, alternative. The 23-year-old ‘elite’ France international is reportedly unwilling to extend his current deal with PSG, which is due to expire in the summer of 2028. This stance has made PSG ready to cash in on the player this summer, but they are demanding a hefty £140 million valuation.
Barcola’s talent was on full display for France at the 2026 World Cup, where he showed top-class finishing ability. However, Arsenal faces stiff competition for his signature. Liverpool is reportedly determined to sign Barcola, especially after their bid for Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig fell through. Liverpool is said to be willing to pay around £100 million for the PSG star, with Barcola currently prioritising a move to Anfield.
Despite Liverpool’s strong interest and Barcola’s preference, GIVEMESPORT reports that the forward is ‘open’ to joining the Premier League champions, Arsenal. This glimmer of hope offers Arsenal a potential path to secure a high-profile attacking talent, though they would likely need to meet PSG’s steep demands and convince Barcola to choose North London over Merseyside.
