Erling Haaland built his career on being the fastest player into the six-yard box. On Call of Duty, he builds it on sitting still.
The Norway international made the admission in a video published on his YouTube channel on 21 October, filmed during an early access session of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 alongside British rapper Aitch.
“It’s a bit embarrassing to say, but I’ve been a camper my whole life. I’m that guy that you hate,” Haaland said in the video.
For readers outside the first-person shooter world: camping is the much-hated tactic of parking in one corner of a map, pointing a weapon at a doorway and waiting for an opponent to walk into the crosshairs. It is the opposite of running, chasing and attacking, and it drives aggressive players up the wall.

A fan since Modern Warfare 2
Haaland, 26, is a long-time Call of Duty player. The Manchester City striker has previously named Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 as one of his favourite games.
