Mohamed Belloumi’s start to life in the Premier League has reached north London. Arsenal are tracking the Hull City winger ahead of a possible January move, Sport Witness reports, relaying a story first carried by Arabic-language outlet Maghreb-Foot.
The interest comes with a caveat. According to the report, Arsenal would only make a concrete approach if Noni Madueke leaves the Emirates in the window, with the 24-year-old Algerian pencilled in as a deputy to Bukayo Saka on the right flank. Belloumi is a left-footer who can play either wing.
No formal bid has been lodged and no fee has been discussed. Sport Witness relays that Belloumi “couldn’t refuse an offer from Mikel Arteta’s side” if one were to arrive.
Numbers behind the rumour
Belloumi has scored three times and set up two more in ten appearances across all competitions this season, and is the newly-promoted side’s leading scorer.

His Hull City contract runs until 2029, with the club holding an option for a further year. Transfermarkt lists his market value at €18m.
He arrived at the MKM Stadium from Portuguese side SC Farense in August 2024 and was part of the squad that beat Middlesbrough 1-0 in last May’s Championship playoff final at Wembley. The result ended a decade-long absence from the Premier League for the Tigers.
Son of a 1982 World Cup scorer
Belloumi carries a name that already means something in Algerian football. His father, Lakhdar Belloumi, scored for Algeria in their famous 2-1 upset of West Germany at the 1982 World Cup in Spain and finished his international career with 147 caps.
The younger Belloumi scored twice for the Fennecs in the most recent international break, adding to his growing profile heading into the January window.

Player wants to park the talk
Through an associate speaking to Maghreb-Foot, Belloumi is said to be flattered by the interest but intent on focusing on Hull City and Algeria duty rather than on speculation. No official approach has been made, and the player is awaiting concrete developments before thinking further about his future.
Hull head coach Sergej Jakirović, named the Premier League’s Manager of the Month for August, signed a new contract with the club in September. For now, Sport Witness reports, any Arsenal move hinges on whether Madueke leaves the Emirates first.
