Man Utd ready for summer clear-out with seven players listed
Manchester United are preparing for a busy summer that could see a significant number of players leave as part of a broader reset ahead of next season.
With the campaign entering its final weeks, attention has already begun to shift toward reshaping the squad — both through targeted signings and potential sales.
Reports from GIVEMESPORT indicate that as many as seven players could be moved on, reflecting a wider effort to streamline the squad and generate funds for reinvestment.
Carrick’s growing influence
Much of that planning is expected to be influenced by Michael Carrick, who has impressed since stepping in following Ruben Amorim’s departure in January.

While no formal decision has been announced, Carrick is widely expected to be in contention for the role on a permanent basis after guiding United into a strong league position. His side currently sit third in the Premier League and hold a healthy advantage over teams chasing European qualification.
A return to the Champions League would not only mark progress on the pitch but also strengthen United’s financial position heading into the transfer window.
Recruitment priorities taking shape
Midfield is understood to be a key area for reinforcement. GIVEMESPORT reports that Elliot Anderson has emerged as a leading target, although competition — including interest from Manchester City — could drive the price significantly higher.
Further additions are also being considered in attack and at left-back, suggesting a multi-position rebuild rather than a single marquee signing.

Departures already underway
Several exits are already confirmed, with Tom Heaton, Tyrell Malacia, Jadon Sancho and Casemiro all approaching the end of their contracts.
Beyond those departures, United are also open to offers for other members of the squad.
Manuel Ugarte is among the players whose future remains uncertain after struggling for consistent minutes under Carrick. According to GIVEMESPORT, the club would be willing to listen to bids.
Marcus Rashford’s situation is also unresolved following his loan move to Barcelona. The Spanish side hold an option to make the deal permanent for around £26 million, although discussions over the final fee are ongoing.

Goalkeeper Andre Onana could also be on the move after spending the season on loan at Trabzonspor, with changes in the goalkeeping hierarchy reducing his role at Old Trafford.
Financial balancing act
Any departures — particularly a potential deal involving Rashford — would provide United with additional flexibility in the market.
As the club looks to balance investment with sales, this summer is shaping up to be a pivotal moment in defining the direction of the squad under its next permanent manager.
