Liverpool are said to be preparing a “big-money” offer for Endrick with 11 days left in the Premier League summer window. The rumour, sourced to ESPN Brasil and amplified by GiveMeSport, has the 20-year-old Brazilian pencilled in as a possible late addition to Andoni Iraola’s Anfield squad, even though Real Madrid have already told his camp they intend to keep him.

South American football expert Tim Vickery, speaking on talkSPORT and quoted by Football365, said the story was gaining serious traction in Brazil but that he expected it to fall over.

“I have my doubts. This is getting a lot of traction in Brazil that Liverpool are preparing a ‘big-money’ offer,” Vickery said.

He pushed back on the reported £55m fee, arguing any bid at that level would undervalue the player Real Madrid signed from Palmeiras.

“There’s no way he can be worth less than he was as an 18-year-old,” Vickery said.

Yahoo Sports reported on Thursday that no formal Liverpool offer has yet reached the Santiago Bernabéu, and that Endrick himself does not wish to leave.

Real Madrid told his camp he stays

Real Madrid informed Endrick’s agents on 10 August that he would be remaining at the club for the 2026-27 season. Loan approaches from Aston Villa and Roma were rejected immediately, and an earlier Manchester United loan with a €45m purchase option went the same way.

The decision came with backing from head coach José Mourinho, appointed on 11 June on a three-year deal. Mourinho and the club handed Endrick the number nine shirt for the new season, a public marker of his standing behind Kylian Mbappé in the pecking order.

His situation is expected to be reassessed in January if his minutes remain limited.

Injury doubt before Espanyol opener

The Liverpool speculation lands with Endrick struggling physically. He picked up a muscular problem in preseason and missed last weekend’s friendly against Schalke 04. He is a major doubt for Real Madrid’s La Liga opener away at Espanyol on Saturday, 22 August.

Vickery unconvinced by the fit

Vickery called the reported deal “a longshot” and accused Real Madrid of “stockpiling” attacking talent, with Mbappé, Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo all ahead of Endrick in the forward line.

He also questioned whether the Iraola project at Anfield, built around wide play, would fit a forward whose preferred role is a second-striker slot behind a main number nine.

The Premier League summer window shuts at 23:00 BST on Tuesday, 1 September 2026, according to the Premier League. Endrick’s own next scheduled outing, injury permitting, is at Espanyol on Saturday.
