Football icon Cristiano Ronaldo is set to transition into the world of television drama, taking on roles as both executive producer and star in a major new series titled “Day 1s.” The venture sees the 41-year-old Al-Nassr forward collaborating with a host of notable names from both sports and entertainment.
The series, described as a drama with comedic elements, centers on the life of a fictional top football agent named Stanley Dalton, a role that will be played by acclaimed British actor Damian Lewis. Lewis, known for his work in series like *Homeland*, has already begun filming, with recent sightings placing him at Barnet FC’s stadium in north-west London.
A star-studded cast and production team
“Day 1s” is based on a concept devised by real-life agent Darren Dein, who also serves as an executive producer. Dein, notably, represents former Arsenal and Barcelona legend Thierry Henry, who is also confirmed to join Ronaldo in the cast. The show is being produced by the newly-formed UR-Marv Studios, a company co-run by Ronaldo himself alongside director Matthew Vaughn.

A TV insider told The Sun (UK) that the show’s “sheer calibre of figures behind it, not to mention the cast, means it’s a prestige project – albeit a surprising one for Ronaldo as he crosses into making dramas.” The insider also predicted that the series is “likely to spark a bidding war between the streamers,” highlighting the high expectations for its market appeal.
