Tom Brady walks back into Foxborough on Sunday afternoon, but this time not toward a locker room.
The 20-year Patriots quarterback is set to call New England’s Week 9 home game against the Green Bay Packers from the Fox booth alongside Kevin Burkhardt, the network’s No. 1 broadcast team, with Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi on the sideline. It is the first time Brady has broadcast a game at Gillette Stadium, and his first Patriots game since he joined Fox in 2024.
Kickoff is at 4:25pm local time, the featured game in Fox’s late afternoon window for Week 9, meaning most of the country will get the broadcast.
The current Patriots quarterback shrugged it off.

“I bet it’s cool for him. It really doesn’t affect me much,” Drake Maye told reporters this week, per NBC Boston.
Two years into a $375m deal
Brady announced his retirement from the NFL “for good” on February 1, 2023, after 23 seasons, 20 of them in New England and three in Tampa Bay. He walked away as the league’s all-time leader in passing yards and touchdown passes, with seven Super Bowl rings.
The move into broadcasting was planned long before he stopped playing. Fox agreed a 10-year deal reported at $375m back in 2022, and Brady delayed the start by a year to finish his final season with the Buccaneers. He joined Burkhardt in the booth for the 2024 season opener.
The first year drew mixed reviews. The second year has not. Fox’s NFL viewership climbed 6% during the 2025-26 regular season to an average of 18.7 million viewers per game, the network’s second-highest average since audience records began in 1988, and Brady’s second season drew what the trade press described as rave reviews.

Gronkowski’s induction weekend
The assignment lands on a weekend built around New England nostalgia. Rob Gronkowski is being inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame on Saturday, November 7, the day before Brady’s broadcast. Gronkowski was voted in as the 38th member of the Hall and spent nine seasons in New England, winning three Super Bowls with Brady at quarterback.
He will not be on the field this time.
The Raiders ownership complication
Brady’s broadcast role sits inside one of the more unusual arrangements in American sport. He is also a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, approved by the league in 2024, and the NFL places restrictions on what he can say about officials and coaches on air.
He has not been shy. During a Lions-Packers broadcast earlier this season, Brady pushed back on a roughing-the-passer flag in real time, per the Boston Globe.

“Oh my goodness, what is that? There’s no way. It’s a bang-bang play. He rolls off his body. It’s a great throw by Goff. It’s definitely not roughing the passer.”
