Tottenham Hotspur paid up to £60m to sign Richarlison from Everton in July 2022, a club-record deal built on an initial £50m fee and £10m in add-ons. Four years and three managers later, they would reportedly take €10m to be rid of him.

The asking price has been cut from around €25m in the summer to €10m ahead of the January window, according to Brazilian agency RTI Esporte. It is the same figure Vasco da Gama offered in September, when the Rio side were turned away.

The 29-year-old has been left out of the current 25-man Premier League squad and has not played a competitive game for the senior side since 22 August. His most recent football of any kind has come with the under-21s.

De Zerbi’s clean break

Head coach Roberto De Zerbi, appointed on a five-year contract in March 2026, has excluded Richarlison from his plans entirely. The Italian did not inherit a settled dressing room, and he has used this autumn to make clear the Brazilian is for sale rather than part of the rebuild.

Nothing about the departure has been clean. Richarlison briefly tried to force his exit by asking FIFA for unilateral termination of his contract before reversing course, according to Football365, and a summer move to Super Lig side Trabzonspor collapsed before the Turkish window shut.

Who is still in the market

Three clubs are the main names in play, according to the Brazilian reporting:

  • Vasco da Gama, who tried in September and are watching again at the lower fee
  • Trabzonspor, who tabled a proposal before the Turkish summer window closed
  • Galatasaray, whose talks with the forward’s representatives have been described as active

Vasco’s director of football Admar Lopes said in comments reported by Football365 that “Richarlison would change Vasco’s offensive level,” though the player’s own preference, according to the Brazilian reporting, is to stay in Europe, which puts the two Turkish clubs ahead in a straight race.

The contract clock

Richarlison’s deal runs until the summer of 2027. If no sale materialises in January, Tottenham lose him on a free transfer six months later, which is the clearest reason the asking price keeps falling.
