Lando Norris Responds to Rumors About Leaving Formula 1
Lando Norris has no plans to leave Formula 1 for a career in rally driving.
At least not for now.
The British McLaren driver has dismissed recent rumors sparked by former Williams boss Peter Windsor, who claimed Norris had tested several rally cars.

The story quickly spread through the paddock, but Norris was quick to clear the air:
“I really wanted to come in here and say, ‘Yeah, it’s true,’ but it’s not,” he told the media. He added that he had previously been denied the chance to try rallying by team boss Zak Brown—likely due to safety concerns.
Norris is currently in the midst of his most promising Formula 1 season to date.
He’s in the fight for his first world championship, while teammate Oscar Piastri is leading the standings after a victory in Jeddah.

The competition is fierce, with reigning champion Max Verstappen also battling at the front.
Not Ruling Out the Future
Despite shutting down the rumors, Norris hasn’t hidden his interest in rallying at some point in his career. He’s previously spoken with admiration about the sport and the drivers who take part in it:
“I have a lot of respect for rally drivers. They’re a bit crazy, but that’s also what makes it exciting,” he said.

For now, though, all focus is on Formula 1.
The rumors come in the middle of a high-stakes season where Norris and McLaren are gaining momentum and have a real shot at challenging the frontrunners.
While the rally dream won’t be happening this time, Norris hasn’t ruled out the possibility of tackling gravel and hairpin turns in the future.
But that won’t be until his Formula 1 adventure is over.
Until then, his eyes remain firmly on the world championship.
